Fico Traders finds the Argentine packers that match what you already buy, gets you prices and samples, and stays on the order from contract to arrival.

You contract with and pay the packer directly; our fee is a commission paid by the packer.

What we source

  • Table olives

    Green, ripe and oxidised olives from La Rioja, Catamarca and San Juan. Whole, pitted, sliced or stuffed, in bulk brine drums or finished retail packs.

  • Olive oil

    Extra virgin and blends from Mendoza, San Juan and La Rioja, including single-variety Arauco and certified organic. Bulk flexitank, drums or bottled.

  • Yerba mate

    Leaf from mills in Misiones and Corrientes: traditional, smoke-free and certified organic, in bulk bags for your own label or as finished brands.

How it works

  1. You send your spec

    Product, variety, process, calibre, format, volume and the terms you buy on.

  2. We quote within a week

    Indicative prices and samples from two or three Argentine packers that match the spec.

  3. You contract with the packer

    The packer exports and invoices you directly, FOB Buenos Aires or CIF your port.

  4. We stay on it until it lands

    We follow production, documents and shipping in Spanish on the ground, and answer to you in English.

Why source from Argentina

Opposite harvest

Argentine olives are picked from February to April, half a year apart from Spain and Greece, which gives you a second buying window.

Outside the Spanish duty orders

Argentine olives are not covered by the US anti-dumping and countervailing duties on ripe olives from Spain.

Its own variety

Arauco, the native dual-purpose olive of La Rioja, alongside Manzanilla, Aloreña and Picual grown for the table.

Packers that already export

Argentina ships around 56,000 tonnes of table olives a year, mostly to Brazil, from plants already set up for export.
